Nearly 1,000 new trees were planted after the ceremony.

The same day, in Yen Dinh commune, Thanh Hoa province, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Duc Thai, Deputy Defense Minister and candidate for the 16th National Assembly (N.A.), met with more than 1,700 voters in 10 communes via online connection.

At the meeting, Gen. Thai emphasized that National Assembly deputies must represent the people’s will, prioritize national interests and public well-being, match words with actions, and remain accountable to voters.

His action program focuses on improving legal system, particularly legal projects on national defense and security, legitimate rights of the people, strengthening oversight, conveying voters’ opinions and aspirations to the National Assembly, building a strong people’s heart posture, safeguarding national sovereignty, modernizing the military, consolidating defensive areas, improving recruitment quality, ensuring social welfare, and improving the people’s living standards.

Voters proposed improving the two-tier local government mechanism, investing in grassroots healthcare, supporting employment, and maintaining grassroots security and order.

Also on February 26, a delegation of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), led by its Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To, inspected preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th N.A. and people’s councils at all levels in the 2026-2031 term at the Ho Chi Minh City Command under Military Region 7 and Division 367 under the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

He spoke highly of the hospital’s achievements in epidemic prevention, disaster response, and medical care for troops and civilians. He urged continued high-quality personnel training, scientific research, application of modern medical advances, building a cultured hospital environment, and upholding medical ethics in the new era.

During his visits to the Central Military Hospital 108, the General Staff (GS)’s military medical branch, and the MND Clinic on February 26, the GS’s Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son acknowledged the unsung dedication and responsibility of military doctors and asked for improved medical quality, professional ethics, mastery of modern techniques, promotion of health check-ups and medicine provision for people in remote, mountainous, border, and island areas.

The same day, the GS’s Deputy Chief Lt. Gen. Le Quang Dao visited the Military Medical University, Military Hospital 103, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, the Military Traditional Medicine Hospital, and Military Hospital 354. Gen. Dao expressed his delight at their attainments and asked them to improve treatment, expand advanced technology application, further integrate treatment with research and training, and continue pro-active disease prevention, disaster preparedness, and modernization of the military medical sector.
