Crew-members aboard the fishing vessel immediately contacted the commanding officer on Da Lat for assistance. After an initial medical assessment determining that on-site treatment was not feasible, the island command requested emergency support from Ship 741.
Upon receiving orders, Ship 741, which was on duty near Truong Sa Island, swiftly maneuvered to Da Lat, took the patient aboard, and transported him to the Medical Center on Truong Sa Island for timely treatment. During the transfer, naval officers and crew members coordinated with medical staff from the island medical center, who accompanied the patient on the journey and provided continuous monitoring and care.
Fishing vessel BD99846TS departed Tam Quang Port on February 12, 2026, with three crew members aboard, engaging in offshore tuna fishing. On March 1, while operating in the Truong Sa waters, Thuong began exhibiting signs of a stroke and was brought to Da Lat for emergency assistance before being transferred by naval forces.
