Writing contest on Kon Tum’s border guard force launched
PANO – The Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, launched a writing contest on the province’s border and 60-year tradition of the provincial border guard force on May 4.
All cadres, civil servants, public employees, officers and soldiers of armed forces, youth union members, students, workers, and people from all walks of life in Kon Tum province are eligible to participate in the contest. In addition, the citizens of Kon Tum province who are living, studying, and working in other localities, are encouraged to join.

In particular, the writing contest will run until July 20. Participants are encouraged to demonstrate their knowledge by answering questions about the establishment and development of the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command, the situation in border areas in Kon Tum, the birth and significance of the whole people’s border guard day and the movement that encourages people to protect sovereignty and security in the new period.
Through the contest, the organizing panel expects to consolidate trust and promote the responsibility of cadres, troops, youth union members, and people for building, managing, and firmly protecting national sovereignty and security; building a firm whole people’s border disposition in combination with the whole people’s defense and security disposition.

The event is also considered an extensive political activity to educate and enhance public awareness of historical traditions. It is also one of the activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Kon Tum Provincial Border Guard Command.
The awarding ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 8 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the foundation day of the Kon Tum Provincial Border Guard Command.
