* The same day, a delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army visited and presented gifts to national contributors in Bich Hoa commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.
The delegation presented 30 gifts, worth nearly VND 50 million, to outstanding national contributors and policy families in the commune.
* The Hanoi Capital Command and the authorities of Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung districts held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.
At the event, delegates reviewed the establishment and development and the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 75 years, and vowed to uphold the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, as well as actively contribute to building strong and prosperous localities.
* An exhibition opened to mark the 30th anniversary of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army in four locations, Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, Dong Khoi Street, Chi Lang Park, the Labor and Culture Palace in Ho Chi Minh City (District 1).
* The most beautiful artistic collection on the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army of the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts was displayed at the museum on December 19. The exhibition will run till December 27.
* Da Nang City on December 19 held a gathering for retired senior military officers. On the occasion, under the authorization of the State President, the city's leadership presented the Fatherland Protection Order to 28 individuals for their outstanding results and great contributions to the national construction and defense cause.
* The authorities of Quang Nam province held a meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army. On the occasion, 10 individuals were awarded the Fatherland Protection Order by the State President for their outstanding results and great contributions in training and task performance.
* The Air Defense - Air Force Service recently presented 237 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to martyrs' relatives, wounded and sick soldiers, and Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district, Hanoi.
