Vietnam Coast Guard holds logistics competition
PANO – The Vietnam Coast Guard kicked off a competition for logistics officers in Hanoi on February 14 under the chair of its Deputy Commander, Major General Bui Trung Dung.
The event aims to thoroughly review and evaluate the task performance of the force’s logistics sector in meeting logistics demands of Coast Guard units for task implementation. These demands include barracks, military supplies, military medicine and petroleum.
Part of the opening session of the competition
The participants will compete in four categories, namely “Units build green, clean, beautiful, and regular barracks,” “Units well support their troops,” “Units well implement military medical work,” and “Units regularly, safely, and economically use fuel allotment.”
The jury includes high-ranking cadres of all logistics branches who give marks to participating teams.
Through the competition, the force will draw lessons learnt and map out plans to continue to well ensure logistics work for its troops to successfully complete their assigned missions.
Additionally, the competition is also an opportunity for the force to realize the logistics sector’s movement themed “Military Logistics Sector following Uncle Ho’s teachings”.
The competition concludes in March 2017.
