Vibrant Tet activities at Division 316

PANO - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026, affiliated agencies and units of Division 316 under Military Region 2 organized a wide range of recreational and cultural activities, creating a joyful and healthy festive atmosphere to improve the spiritual life of troops on combat readiness duty during Tet.

Throughout the Tet holiday, unit compounds were filled with laughter and enthusiastic cheers.

Numerous traditional folk games imbued with national cultural identity such as cloth ball throwing, clay pot breaking, stick pushing, and tug of war were held in a lively manner, attracting large numbers of officers and soldiers.

These activities not only provided wholesome entertainment, but also helped educate on traditions and strengthen solidarity and cohesion within the military collective.

Alongside the folk games, football, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball matches were also organized with great excitement.

Teams competed in a spirit of honesty and sportsmanship, delivering many thrilling matches and fostering an upbeat atmosphere across the entire division during the Spring Festival.

Senior Colonel Lam Dung Tien, Political Commissar of Division 316, stated that in order to ensure troops celebrate Tet in a safe and healthy manner, the Division’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command directed the issuance of plans for units to organize practical and economical cultural, artistic, sports, and folk game activities, while strictly maintaining combat readiness duty and observing discipline.

The division also paid special attention to ensuring both material and spiritual well-being for troops, particularly those facing difficult circumstances, thereby creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere, enhancing morale, and reinforcing the determination of officers and soldiers to successfully accomplish their missions from the very beginning of the new year.
