Troops promptly reinforced residential houses in Quang Dien, Phong Dien, Huong Tra and other districts in Thua Thien - Hue, chopped off trees’ branches, cleared sewers, and evacuated people to safer places.

According to Colonel Duong Van Hoan, Political Commissar of Regiment 6 under the Thua Thien - Hue provincial Military Command, the command directed its affiliated units to support locals to minimize possible losses caused by the natural disaster and protect people’s lives. The command also readied number of troops for unscheduled and challenging tasks.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Nguyen Xuan Thien, Commander of Quang Dien district’s Military Command said that Quang Dien is among the most low-lying districts in Thua Thien - Hue province. So the area is often inundated and isolated by floodwater, which badly affects locals’ production and lives. Therefore, military and other forces focused on supporting the people in this district to respond to the storm.
