PANO – On April 15th, the Military Medical Department marked the 70th anniversary of its traditional day and received the first class Fatherland Front Protection Order.
Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, former Defense Minister Gen. Phung Quang Thanh, Deputy Defense Ministers Sen. Lt. Gen. Le Huu Duc and Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang, former leaders of the Defense Ministry, and other representatives from relevant agencies, attended the ceremony.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Member of the Central Party Committee Mai Tien Dung, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office sent flowers of congratulation to the Department.

At the ceremony, Major General Vu Quoc Binh, Director of the Department, stressed that during the past 70 years of development, generations of unit troops and staff have always overcome challenges and improved their professional qualifications to ensure the best healthcare for soldiers and people.
The military medical sector has achieved a number of outstanding results in scientific research. Many projects and technical innovations of practical significance have been applied to meet the development requirements of the medical sector and the military medical sector in Vietnam.
During its operations, the military medical sector has been presented two Gold Star Medals, four Ho Chi Minh Orders, two Independence Orders, 42 Military Exploit Orders, and more, by the State, Party, and army.
Speaking at the ceremony, Gen. Lich praised the achievements and contributions of the troops and staff of the department. He asked them to continue promoting the glorious traditions and recorded results to fulfill assigned missions.
Over the past years, political personnel in the department have recommended self-study to increase political standing and professionalism. This will contribute to strengthening the leadership of the Party and to grounding the armed forces in a firm political stance.
