Speaking at the seminar, Gen. Oai emphasized the need and objective requirements of building revolutionary, regular, and elite coast guard personnel for the task of protecting the Fatherland and developing the country. This is one of the breakthroughs to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 11th Military Party Congress, particularly Resolution 05 of the Politburo and Resolution 230 of the Central Military Commission on the streamlining of the Vietnam People's Army in the 2021-2030 period and the following years.

At the event, participants discussed and highlighted the importance and urgence of the building of the personnel for the Vietnamese Coast Guard in the new situation. They also exchanged views to clarify fundamental and important contents of building personnel; pointed out the similarities and differences of personnel among units; assessed and forecast the factors affecting the work, and contributed experience and solutions to enhancing the effectiveness of personnel building in the new situation.

Concluding the event, the Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard sincerely thanked delegates from different units for their active participation and valuable opinions.

He said that opinions raised at the event demonstrated participants’ dedication, responsibility, and democratic spirit. The project’s authors will collect the opinions of the delegates at the seminar to have more scientific evidence to propose solutions to the building of personnel in general and those for the Vietnam Coast Guard Command in particular in the new period.
