Regiment 93’s veterans gather in Nha Trang
PANO - The Liaison Board of Regiment 93, Division 2, Military Region 5, on September 29 held a gathering for the regiment’s veterans in Nha Trang city to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first dispatch of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers doing the international service in Cambodia. (October 1).
The meeting saw the participation of more than 400 veterans of the division, along with Cambodian students studying at the Naval Academy, the Signal College and the Air-Force Officer Training School.

40 years ago, thousands of young people nationwide were eager to do their military service and the international service in Cambodia. After successfully completing their tasks in the neighboring country, Regiment 93 returned to the home country, and since then it, with its heroic tradition, has been training recruits and building a regular and elite unit, contributing to firmly protecting the country.
Over the past years, the Liaison Board, in association with other units, have collected and repatriated 19 sets of martyrs' remains, built and repaired 5 gratitude houses, and visited needy veterans.
