Regiment 196’s troops celebrate New Year at unit
PANO - In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the lunar New Year (Tet), troops of Regiment 196 of the Naval Service have well performed their regular missions and organized many practical activities to welcome Tet.
Regiment 196 has conducted patrols, strictly ensured security at the locality where it is stationed, pro-actively practiced combat readiness plans, prevented fire and explosions, and got prepared to handle possible situations during the lunar New Year.
Apart from providing New Year welfare for troops as regulated, the unit allocated its fund to raise troops’ material life.
The unit’s young officers actively participated in an artistic program, featuring an incense offering on commemoration of Gac Ma (Johnson Reef) troops, “banh chung” (square glutinous rice cake) making competition, room decoration competition, folk games, sports exchange, and cultural performances.
Below are photos of the unit's New Year welcoming activities.
