In 2025, the intelligence, recon force in the entire military has thoroughly grasped and strictly realized higher-level resolutions, directives and orders. It has successfully accomplished all routine and unscheduled missions. It has pro-actively coordinated and worked closely with functional agencies to ensure absolute security and safety for major political and external affairs events of the Party, the State and the military.

Military intelligence, recon units have promptly adjusted and arranged forces in a suitable manner, closely grasped situations in each direction and area of responsibility. They have improved training quality, combat readiness capability. Attentively, the forces have affirmed their key position and role in grasping the situation at the grassroots level, advising on effective handling of situations, contributing to building an increasingly firm military and defense posture and local defensive areas.
Addressing the meeting, Gen. Cuong asked the force to enhance capabilities in grasping, assessing, forecasting and mastering situations; and advice on effective handling of situations to prevent passivity or surprise and avoid the emergence of “hotspots.” This would contribute to maintaining political security and social order and safety, especially in key areas and during major political and external affairs events of the Party, the State and the military, particularly the 14th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly, and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

He requested the force to continue to consolidate and build an elite, compact and strong force with a solid posture, rapid adaptability and strong transformation, ensuring no “gaps” or “blank areas” in coverage; carry out mass mobilization work to foster a strong people’s heart posture.
The force was also urged to increase exercises based on plans and scenarios; and exert efforts to recruit, train, foster and attract high-quality human resources to the sector.
