As a major force involved in the implementation of international humanitarian law, Vietnamese troops have embraced the Party’s and the State’s policies and commitments on settling international disputes by peaceful measures, especially in line with the implementation of the international humanitarian law.
During the course, experts introduced the contents and the implementation of the law to all trainees. For their part, the trainees learned how to improve their understanding of the ICRC’s operations in relation with military affairs, the legal framework for the use of armed forces, the different types of conflicts and the implementation of the law, and so on.
By means of each simulated exercise, the trainees came to know how to make decisions in real situations.
