ANO - A training course on the execution of International Humanitarian Law was opened for cadres in charge of mass mobilization and special propaganda from the General Staff’s organs, general departments, Air Force and Air Defence Service, the Navy and Border Guards on October 23rd.
The two-day course, launched by the General Department of Politics, Vietnam Red Cross Society, and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Asia-Pacific, provided trainees with general knowledge, behaviour principles of the Humanitarian Law, practices on dealing with armed conflicts, treatment principles regarding prisoners of war, and principles to protect civilians, cultural heritage and public structures.
After the course, trainees are expected to apply what they have learnt in implementing the International Humanitarian Law in general and in giving recommendations to senior leaders at all levels on training, exercises and practice of mass mobilization work.
