Over the past time, agencies and units have actively coordinated with each other to make thorough preparations for the celebration, including launching a competition to learn about the 80-year history, traditions, and development of the GS; building plans for dissemination work; producing documentary films and composing songs about the GS; organizing an artistic exchange program at ATK Dinh Hoa relic site (Thai Nguyen); among others.

Meanwhile, the GS has promoted policy and mass mobilization activities, such as conducting the “Return-to-root” journey; providing financial support for the construction of gratitude houses; repairing martyrs’ cemeteries; presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries; offering free health check-ups and medicines for policy beneficiaries and needy people, to name but a few.

In his speech, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan required the agencies and units to coordinate closely and promptly develop detailed plans and budget estimates, consult with relevant agencies and units, and report to the organizing panel and GS’s leadership for approval and implementation. He particularly emphasized that all programs and activities must be impressive and meaningful, highlighting the 80-year journey of building, fighting and development of the GS.
