According to the Prime Minister’s Decisions No.59 and No.358, respectively, MR7’s Political Commissar Lt. Gen. Tran Hoai Trung will retire and MR7’s Deputy Political Commissar Maj. Gen. Tran Vinh Ngoc is appointed Political Commissar.

At the event, Gen. Trung handed over the duties of Secretary of Party Committee and Political Commissar to Gen. Ngoc.

Addressing the event, Gen. Quyet highly valued the leadership outcomes of the MR7’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command over the past years, particularly important contribution of Gen. Trung.

An overview of the ceremony

Gen. Quyet congratulated Gen. Trung on his duty and responsibility fulfilment and voiced his hope that the general would continue to promote his capability and experience, give quality opinions to help his successor complete all assignments in the coming time.

Given new requirements in the new post, Gen. Quyet asked Gen. Ngoc to exert efforts, set an example in terms of ethics, lifestyle, working style,  uphold solidarity, pay due attention to troops, and arouse and bring into play collective strength in task performance.

The senior officer should closely collaborate with other members of the Party Committee to lead the MR7’s armed forces to excellently complete all assigned missions, build strong forces that are able to meet task requirements in the new situation. In addition, he should keep a close bond with local party committee and authorities and direct the support for local ethnic groups to develop socio-economy coupled with defense and security consolidation.

The Party Committee and Command of MR7 are also requested to grasp situational developments, proactively give suggestions to the CMC and the Ministry of National Defense, and make breakthroughs in science and technology renovation, digital transformation while effectively leading the training programs, observance of combat readiness regulations and discipline, and care for troops and their families, among others.
