MND reviews preparation to mark Border Guard’s Day
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) on February 15 held a conference to set up an organizing board in charge of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Border Guard, and the 30th anniversary of the Whole-People's Border Day.
At the conference, delegates carefully reviewed all preparations and plans for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Border Guard, and the 30th anniversary of the Whole-People's Border Day.
Under the plans, the Central Military Commission, and the MND will coordinate with Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam to hold a grand ceremony on March 1 in Hanoi.
On the occasion, the Border Guard Command also asked its subordinate units to carry out many meaningful activities to pay tribute to policy families, national contributors, and educate troops and people on the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Army and the Border Guard Force.
Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, acknowledged the great efforts of the local authorities and people in organizing activities in the past, and also requested the agencies, units to closely coordinate in preparing for the event this year.
