Border guards care for distressed Filipino seamen
PANO - The Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command on January 16 received two Filipino fishermen in distress from a Vietnamese fishing boat.

Accordingly, Matillano B. Benjie, 40, Rapisa Rene, 3, and another man were on a trawler. Their boat sunk while fishing at the waters of the Philippines. Benjie and Rene were drifted in the sea and driven by waves to the Vietnamese waters while the remainder is still missing.
On January 3, fishing boat BD-95786TS with six fishermen on board found and rescued Benjie and Rene at the waters of Truong Sa Islands of Vietnam, and then brought them to the mainland.
After receiving first aid from the provincial Border Guard Command, the two Filipino seamen are in a good condition.
