After hearing a report from the CMC Inspection Commission and comments from participants, Sr. Lt. Gen. Do Xuan Tung commended the commission for pro-actively studying and implementing the CMC Standing Committee’s decision and inspection plan, while coordinating with relevant agencies to prepare the necessary materials.

He instructed the inspection team to strictly follow the approved decision and plan, ensuring that the inspection remains within its defined contents and scope. Members may examine specific issues in greater depth but must not expand the inspection beyond the approved framework. They were also asked to thoroughly study relevant documents, clearly understand the inspection subjects and objectives, and identify issues requiring further examination or verification, particularly shortcomings, emerging concerns, and matters involving differing opinions.

GDP’s Deputy Chairman stressed that the inspection must be substantive and objective and conducted in accordance with Party principles, procedures, and regulations. Assessments must accurately reflect leadership, direction, and implementation results, while clearly identifying achievements, shortcomings, their extent and nature, their causes, and the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals.

He emphasized that all assessments must be supported by records, documents, and data and accurately reflect the facts and nature of the issues. The inspection must avoid speculation, evasion, as well as perfunctory or mechanical approaches.

General Tung called on all members of the inspection team to uphold their sense of responsibility and maintain objectivity, democracy, prudence, and rigor in carrying out their assigned duties. He also required strict compliance with regulations on state and military secrets, rules governing statements, and working discipline and conduct. Team members must promptly report any arising issues to the team leader and take responsibility for the research, examination, verification, and assessments within their assigned scope of duties..
