PANO - The Department of Information and Press, acting in proxy for the Foreign Minister, hailed several groups and individuals from the People’s Army Newspaper for their best coverage of external affairs and propaganda of Vietnam’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2010.

At the ceremony, Mr. Luong Thanh Nghi, the Department’s Director, presented certificates of merit to one group and two individuals, campaign medals to three individuals and letters of congratulations by General Secretary of the National Committee for ASEAN 2010 to two individuals.

On behalf of the People’s Army Newspaper’s officers and staff, Major-General Le Phuc Nguyen, Editor-in-Chief, thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their acknowledgment and high appreciation of the Newspaper’s contributions.

The General also stressed that the Newspaper would tightly work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to disseminate the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies.
