Military units nationwide kick-off training season
PANO - On March 1, all military units of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) started this year’s training season. The People’s Army Newspaper Online would like to introduce some of these activities.
At Infantry Commando 113, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CCCPV), Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA, tasked the unit to train their soldiers to combat independently, master new weapons, and ensure safety in training.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA attended the launching ceremony at Naval Brigade 170 under Naval Region 1. He urged the brigade to enhance training quality, be capable and ready to protect the national sovereignty. In the photo, representatives of the units under the brigade are signing emulation contract in 2017.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA attended the launch of the training season at Regiment 95, Division 325, Army Corps 2. He tasked the unit to thoroughly grasp resolutions and directives at all levels, reform training contents and methods, and focus on enhancing durability and mobility.
At the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the CCCPV, Commander of Military Region 7, stressed that officers and soldiers of the command should actively cooperate with the municipal line agencies in their training tasks. He urged the command to apply information technology to training.
Units under Division 10 of Army Corps 3 also commenced their training season on March 1. Accordingly, the division is determined to enhance training quality, joint service drills, mobility, and logistics capacity.
The Air Force Officer Training School also promotes its achievements last year to enhance training quality. Last year, the school applied active training methods and information and simulation technology to command and training management.
