The ceremony was organized at the meeting hall of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 7 in Ho Chi Minh City under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff, and Deputy Defense Minister.

AARM-30 took place at the National Military Training Center No.4 from November 4 to 12 with the participation of ten teams from ASEAN member nations. This was a political event and an important military external relations activity of the Vietnam People's Army in 2022.
After fierce competitions from participating teams, the AARM-30, which was held in parallel with the 23rd ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting (ACAMM-23) and the 10th ASEAN Sergeant Major Annual Meeting (ASMAM-10), ended with great success. With 17 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze medals, the Vietnam People's Army team won first place, exceeding the set target.
The ninth National Sports Games was organized from December 9 to 21 with the participation of teams from 65 provinces, cities, and sectors, competing in 43 sport events. In this year’s game, the military competed in 28 sport events and ranked third among participating teams. Military athletes broke 22 records and set five new ones, successfully completing assigned missions. Their achievements affirmed the position of military sports.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong affirmed that in the context of the complicated developments of international situations, the Defense Ministry’s hosting of AARM-30, ACAMM-23, and ASMAM-10 demonstrated the role of the Vietnam People's Army in the nation's revolutionary cause and in international relations, contributing to enhancing solidarity and friendship, fostering international cooperation bilaterally and multilaterally, strengthening strategic trust, maintaining peace and stability for national development, and at the same time raising Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.
With outstanding achievements, military coaches and athletes contributed to enriching the “Determined to fight, determined to win” tradition the heroic Vietnam People's Army and honoring the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the hearts of the Vietnamese and international friends.
