A report at the event revealed that over the past five years, the Central Military Commission Standing Board and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense have paid much attention to the leadership and direction over the implementation of the project. The party committees and chains-of-command at all levels have strictly grasped the project in line with the reality of each agency and unit; associating the implementation of the targets, tasks and solutions identified in the project with the implementation of resolutions, directives, conclusions, and instructions of higher levels, focusing on the Politburo’s Resolution No.35 on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrongful and hostile views in the new situation.

The whole military has implemented the targets, guidance, tasks and solutions of the project in a synchronous, strict and effective manner. The party committees, chains-of-command, and steering committees 35 of agencies and units have been required to combine the project’s implementation with the task performance of building healthy and typically-strong Party organizations and comprehensively strong, “typical and exemplary” agencies and units.

Meanwhile, the agencies and units should effectively conduct inspection, survey, and evaluation and review of task performance, while promptly honoring collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the project’s implementation.

Nearly 50 comments were sent to the organizing board of the conference. They pointed out the strength, outstanding outcomes, lessons learned and several new, creative and effective models and methods of the whole military in implementing the project; and proposed some key tasks and solutions in the coming time.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that with the results obtained during the five-year implementation of the project, the party committees and chains-of-command at all levels have raised their awareness and responsibility of their task performance, contributing to affirming that the military is the leading force in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrongful and hostile views.

The GDP chief mapped out the key tasks and solutions that need to be continued to implement in the coming time to further promote the fight against the “peaceful evolution” plot in terms of ideology and culture, making contribution to firmly protecting the Party’s ideological foundation; building a strong military in term of politics, healthy and strong party organizations, and comprehensively strong, “typical and exemplary” agencies and units; successfully accomplishing all assigned missions.

At the event, the organizing board awarded 100 collectives and 94 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the project’s implementation; 15 collectives and 120 individuals and groups with excellent results in the organization and participation in the 4th contest on protecting Party's ideological foundation in the whole military.
