PANO – A mission of the General Department of Politics inspected a number of units of Military Zone 1, Military Zone 2, the General Department of Techniques, and the General Department of Logistics from September 29th to October 1st.

The inspection aims to strengthen the implementation of Directive 34-CT/TW issued by the Secretariat of the Central Party Committee on “Combating the ‘peaceful evolution’ plot in the cultural and ideological realm,” Directives 317 and 788 of the Central Military Commission on continuing “studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh”, and the campaign “Promoting tradition, devoting talent to deserve to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”

The mission highly spoke of the Party committees and chains of command of the inspected units for their active, strict, and effective implementation of measures to closely grasp situations, resolutely combat wrongful arguments and enhance combat power, firmly protecting the ideological face of the Party.

Deviation and “self-differentiation” have been effectively prevented among officers, soldiers and defence workers. Some units have applied good measures in the mass mobilization work, contributing to firmly protecting social order and security in localities.

Apart from laudable results, the inspection mission also pinpointed the shortcomings and weaknesses. Units are to fix the shortcomings and weaknesses while continuing to closely grasp resolutions, directives and instruction concerning the combat against the “peaceful evolution” plot of hostile forces in the coming time.
