The hospital’s leadership presents flowers as an encouragement to the medical team.

On behalf of the team, Senior Captain, Dr. Hoang Tran Ba from the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery emphasized that they are all aware that serving at the Truong Sa Island Infirmary is not only a professional duty, but also a great honor. It reflects the dedication and commitment of young doctors of Military Hospital 175 to the sacred sea and islands of the nation.

Encouraging the team, Senior Colonel, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Phan Dinh Mung, Deputy Director of the hospital and Director of the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, stressed that the hospital plays a vital role in providing military medical services and healthcare for troops and civilians in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago. He noted the unique challenges of this mission, from harsh weather and living conditions to complex medical cases requiring swift and precise treatment under resource-limited conditions. He highlighted this as an opportunity for young medical staff to grow through service and dedication. He urged them to remain united and determined to excel in their duties, helping improve healthcare quality there.

Over the past years, alongside manning the Truong Sa Island Infirmary, Military Hospital 175 has also maintained a mobile emergency team to promptly receive, transport patients from islands to the mainland, and treat them. In addition, its telemedicine system has been effectively deployed, enabling consultations and diagnosis of cases ranging from simple to complex between the hospital and the island infirmary. This has helped the infirmary become a firm fulcrum in healthcare for troops and civilians, strengthening their confidence in safeguarding the nation’s sacred maritime sovereignty.
