The request was made by Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, who led a delegation of the Ministry of National Defense to visit the hospital on April 21.

At the working session, the hospital’s Party Secretary and Director Major General Tran Quoc Viet reported on the unit’s task implementation. Accordingly, the hospital has comprehensively developed its medical services in terms of examination, treatment, and healthcare, contributing to the unit’s increased prestige in the entire military, Ho Chi Minh City, and other Southern provinces.
The hospital has successfully provided emergency aid and treatment to a number of serious, complex cases. Attentively, it has excelled in the transplant of organs, particularly livers and kidneys taken from brain-dead donors, and made new breakthroughs in expertise.
In addition, it has effectively implemented other military and defense tasks, ensured health services on islands, and actively engaged in U.N. peacekeeping operations.
Having heard the report and toured the hospital, Gen. Nam highly praised the unit for its outstanding achievements, helping raise its reputation and further brighten the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers-medical staff among people.
The defense leader expressed his delight at the hospital's remarkable development in terms of modern, spacious facilities and constantly-improving professional expertise.

On the threshold of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025) and the hospital’s 50th foundation anniversary (May 26, 1975 - 2025), Gen. Nam wished the hospital’s medical staff and laborers excellent completion of all assignments, continued promotion of talent, wisdom, and medical ethics, and further contribution to the nation’s medical cause and Fatherland construction and defense cause.
