The defense chief emphasized that the CMC, MND are deeply grateful to generations of Party and State leaders, generals, senior cadres of the military for their great contribution to the building of the whole-people defense posture, strong Vietnam People's Army, helping build and defend the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
He suggested the delegates, with their bravery, wisdom, experience, and dedication, preserve and spread the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in life to live happily and healthily.

He hoped them always support, encourage and stand side-by-side with the CMC, MND, party committees and chains-of-command of agencies and units in the whole military, so that they could excellently complete all missions assigned by the Party, State and people, contributing to firmly safeguarding the Fatherland and bringing the country into a new era – the era of nation’s rise.
On behalf of the CMC and MND, Gen. Giang wished the delegates good health, happiness and success.
