GS's Party Committee holds conference to roll out leadership tasks for 2025

The conference was chaired by the GS’s Deputy Chief Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan.

Reportedly, in 2024, the Party Committee has thoroughly grasped the Party’s guidelines on military and defense missions, actively studied and made recommendations to the Party and State to address any arising issues, strictly ensured combat readiness, managed situations in border areas, at sea and in sky, among others, so as to meet all task requirements.

In 2025, the unit will well perform its staff and leadership work to direct the whole military on defense and military missions, contributing to building the military, the firm whole-people’s defensive posture, meeting all task requirements, and firmly protecting the national sovereignty in any circumstances, to name but a few.

Addressing the event, General Cuong hailed the unit’s achievements in 2024, and agreed with the leadership orientations and solutions mentioned in the draft resolution of the Party Committee. He requested the unit to continue to study and grasp situations to make recommendations to the Central Military Commission, Defense Ministry, Party and State to effectively handle all issues.

Delegates at the event

In addition to major tasks, the unit was also asked to focus on building healthy and strong Party committees at all levels and affiliated Party organizations and making thorough preparations for Party congresses at all levels towards organizing the 19th Congress of the GS’s Party Committee of the Defense Ministry’s Organs.
