Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San, Deputy Minister of National Defense, attended and directed the event.
At the event, delegates evaluated that in the year, under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the General Department of Logistics and party committees of agencies and units in the general department, the whole general department has comprehensively completed assigned tasks. The general department has enhanced the work of making recommendations and directions to ensure logistical supplies for combat readiness missions, contributing to safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands, security in border areas and key regions.
Agencies and units have also excelled in providing logistics for significant political events and national celebrations, such as the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day.

The whole force has provided timely support to help citizens recover from natural disasters. The quality of training, drills, and competitions within the logistics sector has showed continued improvement. The Party Committee has also led efforts to build comprehensively strong, exemplary, outstanding units.
In his directive speech, General San commended the General Department of Logistics for its accomplishments in 2024 and outlined the focus for 2025. He emphasized the importance of effectively implementing the Ministry of National Defense's decision on merging the General Department of Logistics and the General Department of Technical Services to form the General Department of Logistics-Technical Services. This restructuring must ensure high consensus, unity, and stability to ensure uninterrupted task performance.

Key priorities for 2025 include reorganizing and stabilizing personnel and organizational structure after the merger; enhancing combat readiness, training, and education quality; standardizing operations; promoting administrative reforms, and advancing digital transformation. The Party Committee is also tasked with preparing and successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels for the 2025–2030 term, ensuring logistical support for both routine and urgent missions, as well as for major national and military events.
The deputy defense minister stressed the need to maintain political stability, unity, and cohesion within the general department during the merger process, fostering motivation and improving work quality to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
