Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien speaks at the event.

This year, the Service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command have led and directed their affiliates to comprehensively carry out and outstandingly complete their tasks. Particularly, the affiliates have pro-actively grasped, studied, evaluated, and forecasted situational developments, and given suggestions to the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) to deal with sea-related situations in an effective manner, thus safeguarding national maritime sovereignty, national interests and upholding a maritime environment of peace and stability.

Next year, the whole Service will continue to strictly observe and implement higher levels’ resolutions and directives on military and defense tasks, carry out combat readiness duties, keep a close watch on the development of situations, propose measures to contingencies, and defend national sovereignty over the sea and islands as well as ensure safety for sea-economy-related operations.
