General Phan Van Giang and the delegation visited General Pham Van Tra, former Politburo member, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Party Committee (now the CMC), and former Minister of National Defense; and General Ngo Xuan Lich, former Politburo member, former Deputy Secretary of the CMC and former Minister of National Defense.
During the visits, General Phan Van Giang extended his warm regards and shared several key achievements of the armed forces in carrying out military and defense tasks during the first months of 2026.
He noted that, with a pro-active spirit, strong sense of responsibility, and high determination, the CMC and MND had led the entire military to overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill all assigned missions. They had also advised the Party and the State on many sound policies and strategic decisions regarding military and defense affairs, and the protection of the Fatherland. The military has maintained high combat readiness and vigilance.
Officers and soldiers across the military have actively promoted emulation movements and effectively implemented the Resolution of the 12th Military Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress from the very beginning of 2026. Efforts to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized military have continued to be promoted.

The military has also played an active role in helping people reduce poverty, recover from natural disasters, and conduct search and rescue missions. In all circumstances, the armed forces remain a firm pillar of support for the people, further enhancing the noble qualities and proud image of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” in the hearts of the public.
On this occasion, General Phan Van Giang wished General Pham Van Tra, General Ngo Xuan Lich, and their families good health and happiness. He also expressed hope that they would continue to follow the development of the military and contribute valuable and dedicated ideas to help build an even stronger armed force capable of fulfilling all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people.
