In the first six months of 2026, Party and political work throughout the military was rigorously directed, comprehensively fulfilling both regular and ad hoc tasks. Notably, political education, dissemination, public opinion orientation, and the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation were highly effective, along with the thorough implementation of Party resolutions at all levels.

At the conference, delegates evaluated the outcomes, pointed out shortcomings and obstacles, and proposed solutions to enhance the quality of Party and political work in the upcoming time.

Addressing the conference, General Nguyen Trong Nghia commended the units for their efforts. Given the complicated and unpredictable global and regional contexts, he requested that Party and political work be vigorously innovated to anticipate trends and pro-actively orient troops’ thoughts. The GDP’s Chief directed the entire military to deeply grasp new viewpoints, particularly effectively implementing the guiding mottos of General Secretary and President To Lam regarding military building.

Moreover, he emphasized the need to focus on political education, discipline maintenance, spreading the beautiful images of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” and leveraging military press, cultural, and artistic agencies on digital platforms. He noted that commanders at all levels must stay close to the grassroots and grasp troops’ thoughts to promptly address emerging issues and any cases of violations.

Regarding Party building, General Nguyen Trong Nghia highlighted the importance of strictly maintaining regular Party activities, enhancing leadership capacity, intensifying inspections, and consolidating personnel to meet new requirements.

For mass mobilization and policy work, the entire military must promote its role as a “working military,” better care for contributors to the revolution and Agent Orange/dioxin victims, and resolutely execute the “500-day campaign to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains” with the highest quality.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his hope that with solidarity, pro-activeness, and creativity, the whole military will successfully accomplish Party and political tasks in the second half of the year, contributing to building a politically strong military in the current context.
