Prior to the mission, Regiment 910 carried out comprehensive assessments of the cadets' proficiency, instructors' training quality, aircraft technical condition, weather, and all flight support requirements in accordance with regulations. The two selected cadets had completed the full training curriculum and demonstrated excellent aircraft handling skills, in-flight emergency response capabilities, and strong confidence under pressure.

The L-39NG is a new-generation jet trainer equipped with modern avionics, a digital cockpit, and advanced flight control systems, meeting the requirements for training military pilots for high-technology combat environments. The successful completion of the first solo flights on the aircraft has marked the Air Force Officer Candidate School's growing capability to operate and master modern aviation equipment while advancing its flight training program.
Following the flight operations, Col. Hoan praised the responsibilities of the flight instructors, commanding officers, technical personnel, and support units for their close coordination, thorough preparation, and commitment to ensuring absolute flight safety. He emphasized that each successful solo flight reflects a systematic, scientific, and disciplined training process. Early proficiency on the L-39NG provides a solid foundation for developing military pilots with strong political commitment, high professional competence, and the ability to effectively operate modern aircraft in safeguarding Vietnam's national airspace.
