Accordingly, in July, the GS directed the whole military to successfully accomplish assigned tasks; maintained a high level of combat readiness, closely monitored situational developments, particularly in key strategic areas; and effectively handled emerging situations. The GS also coordinated efforts to safeguard political security, social order and safety across the country, ensuring absolute security for the third plenary session of the 14th Party Central Committee and activities involving leaders of the Party, the State, and the military.

Forces intensified patrols and inspections to prevent illegal border crossings by land and sea, stepped up efforts to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and others.
Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong applauded the outstanding achievements recorded in July while directing the whole military to maintain strict combat readiness, closely monitor the situation, especially in key areas, and promptly provide recommendations and effectively respond to all circumstances. He also stressed the need to safeguard political security, social order, and public safety nationwide, particularly during celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and the first extraordinary session of the 16th National Assembly.
The general required all levels to continue improving operational planning documents, strictly enforce aviation safety measures, strengthen the management of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), intensify patrols to prevent foreign vessels from violating or encroaching upon Vietnam’s maritime zones, and resolutely implement measures to combat IUU fishing.
Relevant functional forces were tasked with strengthening cyberspace monitoring and control, ensuring secure and timely communications for military units nationwide.
The conference also emphasized maintaining round-the-clock search and rescue readiness at all levels; pro-actively monitoring situations and promptly advising on and effectively responding to accidents, natural disasters, search and rescue operations, disease outbreaks, and environmental disasters. Greater emphasis should be placed on electronic warfare reconnaissance, maintaining the reliability of technical systems, inspecting, certifying, evaluating, and accepting weapons and technical equipment, and effectively organizing defense external affairs, international cooperation, and participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations, to name but a few.
