On this occasion, the defense leader visited and encouraged forces on duty on the islands, inspected the troops’ military and defense task implementation as well as logistic services in the areas.
He also presented gifts to islanders in Truong Sa townlet, while encouraging them to go fishing at sea, join hands with the forces to firmly protect the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Reportedly, over the past time, the troops have embraced all resolutions and instructions of higher levels, grasped situations to be ready in any circumstances, raised training and combat readiness quality, well conducted mass mobilization and search and rescue work, and more.

In acknowledgement of their task performance, General San requested troops and forces in the islands to maintain combat readiness, stay on high alert, together with islanders promote maritime economy, contributing to the development of the Truong Sa Islands, deserving the special care of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, MND, and people across the country.
