Defense ministry honors outstanding and promising young faces in 2025

The titles of Outstanding Young Face and Promising Young Face are awarded annually by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to honor exceptional youth across various fields. The 2025 selection process concluded with 10 Outstanding and 80 Promising Young Faces, including several recognized at the national level. These individuals have excelled in training, combat readiness, scientific research, and U.N. peacekeeping missions.

In recognition, the Minister of National Defense and the General Department of Political Affairs approved special career advancements, including officer appointments, early promotions, and salary increases. All honorees also received certificates of merit for their dedication.

General Phan Van Giang praised the recipients as role models who inspire resilience throughout the military. He urged all military youths to implement resolutions from the 14th National Party Congress and directives from Party General Secretary To Lam. He called on commands to foster revolutionary ideals and encouraged youth to lead in digital transformation and science.

General Phan Van Giang requested that Party committees entrust young personnel with challenging tasks while ensuring supportive policies for talent. He reminded honorees that their titles carry the responsibility to continue setting examples in national defense and safeguarding the Fatherland.
