These activities aim to disseminate and educate the history and development of the VPA and the GDP, militia-civilian ties, the important role of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day, as well as the historic value of the ATK historical relic site. This is where President Ho Chi Minh and Party and State leaders lived and worked during the 1947-1954 period to lead the resistance war against the French. In addition, the activities also contribute to arousing patriotism and national pride among youths and promoting the Vietnamese tradition “When drinking water, remember its source” and the beautiful images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and more.

* On the same day, Lieutenant General Le Hien Van led a delegation of the GDP to the ATK historical relic in Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Whole People's Defense Festive Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the VPA and the GDP (December 22).
