At the working session, Major General Pham Hai Trung, Commander of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, reported on the unit's task performance during the first six months of 2026. During this period, the Command successfully fulfilled all planned and unscheduled tasks. It excellently accomplished missions related to medical care and the long-term preservation of President Ho Chi Minh's body, ensured security and ceremonial activities, achieved good results in combat readiness training and training for recruits.

In the first half of the year, the unit welcomed and provided services for more than 1 million visitors, including over 256,000 international visitors who came to pay tribute at the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. It also successfully supported numerous State-level memorial ceremonies, as well as visits by delegations led by foreign heads of state, ministers, and officials of equivalent rank.
The Command also effectively carried out landscaping, cultivation, maintenance, and environmental improvement in designated areas. In addition, it ensured the effective implementation of political, logistics, financial, and materiel support for mission accomplishment and troop welfare.
In his concluding speech, Gen. Thang highly praised the Command’s officers and soldiers for their attainments.

Given increasingly demanding mission requirements, as the Command is being restructured into an elite, compact, strong and increasingly modern force, the defense leader requested its Party committee and Chain-of-command to further deepen their understanding of both immediate and long-term tasks, strengthen their resolve, overcome hardships, and excellently complete its task of long-term preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body while further enhancing the political and cultural significance of the mausoleum in the new situation.
He called on the unit to ensure the safe operation and management of the mausoleum's technical systems in accordance with prescribed standards, effectively maintain and repair technical equipment and architectural facilities, foster unity and solidarity in the entire unit, and continue building a comprehensively strong, exemplary and typical unit. He emphasized that the Command should remain a model in military discipline and ceremonial duties, while preserving the dignified and exemplary image of the Vietnam People's Army among the Vietnamese people and international friends.
