Despite numerous challenges, the Ca Mau provincial Military Command’s leadership has focused on directing its agencies and units to fulfill their assigned tasks effectively.

Commending the results achieved, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan requested that Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels promptly develop plans to address the shortcomings identified during the inspection. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the Party’s guidelines and viewpoints, the State’s policies and laws, and the resolutions, directives, and orders of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Region Command concerning military and defense tasks, Task 1389, administrative violations, crime reports and information, legal and disciplinary compliance, and combat readiness.

He also called for continued efforts to improve the effectiveness of Task 1389 and strictly maintain regulations on information sharing, reporting, inspection, and performance evaluation. Units were urged to coordinate closely with relevant forces to maintain a firm grasp of the situation, particularly in coastal areas, river mouths, fishing ports, waterways, key locations, and sectors vulnerable to smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and other violations of the law.
The Ca Mau provincial Military Command was also instructed to strengthen procedures for detecting, transferring, receiving, and handling crime reports and information; improve the handling of administrative violations; ensure the proper management and storage of case files; and maintain accurate and consistent statistical data.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff stressed the importance of improving the effectiveness of mass mobilization activities in conjunction with strengthening local areas. The command should work closely with Party committees, local authorities, and relevant forces to encourage people to comply with the law and actively participate in safeguarding sovereignty, security, and public order at sea and in coastal areas.
He also emphasized the role of the armed forces in encouraging fishermen to strictly comply with fisheries regulations, particularly those concerning the prevention and combating of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Attention should also be given to ensuring logistics, technical support, transportation, and communications for combat readiness, disaster prevention and response, search and rescue operations, and improving the material and spiritual well-being of service members.
