A report presented at the ceremony affirmed that the award has made an important contribution to improving the quality of military and defense task performance. This year, 896 projects from across the military competed in a wide range of fields, including information technology, military social sciences and humanities, chemistry, environmental protection, training, weaponry, and military medicine.

The Award Council assessed that all entries had made notable progress in quantity, quality and effectiveness. Most were carefully researched, demonstrated strong scientific value and delivered practical benefits for defense, security and socio-economic development. Many also applied advanced technologies, including digitalization, biotechnology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. The projects closely reflected the missions of participating units and showed strong potential for application in training, combat readiness, production, and environmental protection.

In his remarks, General Phan Van Giang recognized and commended the collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements and highly valued the leadership and direction of Party committees and commanders at all levels. Stressing the importance of scientific research and digital transformation, he asked the whole military to continue thoroughly implementing the Party, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense’s guidelines on youth affairs, science and technology.

General Phan Van Giang called on Party committees and chains-of-command of units across the military to create favorable conditions in terms of facilities, mechanisms, policies, and incentives to encourage young people to actively engage in research and innovation. He emphasized that every youth initiative, regardless of scale, should be promptly recognized and commended.

The Minister of National Defense also called for greater practical application of research products to support testing and further improvement, while promoting exchanges and experience sharing both within and outside the military. He urged the Award Council to continue innovating and improving the quality of its advisory work, ensuring objective and fair evaluations and resolutely preventing negative practices.

General Phan Van Giang asked winners to continue playing a leading role, sharing experience and encouraging their comrades to participate in scientific research, with the goal of mastering science and technology, and reaching new height of knowledge.

Receiving the directives, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Vice Chairman of the General Department of Political Affairs and Chairman of the Award Council, affirmed that the General Department of Political Affairs would promptly disseminate and put them into practice, helping further improve the quality of the award in the coming period.
