MND’s delegation works with MR5

An overview of the event

After the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc highly appreciated the achievements recorded by agencies, units and enterprises under MR5 over the past time. He requested the region to continue to thoroughly implement and strictly observe regulations and duties for combat readiness, particularly during celebrations of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2); pro-actively and closely monitor local developments; maintain forces and equipment in a state of readiness for deployment.

He also asked the region’s enterprises to step up production and business activities and strive to achieve a double-digit growth target; manage, exploit and use defense land for its intended purposes and in accordance with regulations; and others.

The military region should review and determine basic construction investment needs for each phase, ensuring that projects are practical and effective, make full use of their intended functions, and minimize losses and waste. He also called for the thorough implementation and strict observance of regulations and guidelines issued by the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services regarding logistics support, while pro-actively adopting measures to improve the quality of the material and spiritual life of officers and soldiers.
