Reporting on the hospital’s digital transformation progress, Director of Military Hospital 175 Major General Tran Quoc Viet emphasized that in recent years the hospital has thoroughly studied, disseminated, and strictly implemented resolutions and directives regarding the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. These efforts have gradually changed the mindset, working style, and working methods, helping build a “digital culture” among the hospital’s officers, staff, soldiers, and employees.

The hospital’s medical personnel have identified digital transformation as both a means and an objective to improve the quality of military medical work, ensuring readiness for combat service and healthcare for both troops and civilians. The hospital has effectively applied artificial intelligence (AI) to supporting management, operations, and medical activities through systems such as task management software, patient monitoring, online appointment registration, diagnostic imaging, and cancer radiotherapy technologies.
After the inspection, site visit, and hearing the hospital’s report as well as feedback from delegation members, General Vinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Military Hospital 175 in implementing digital transformation. He also requested that the hospital’s leadership promptly address the shortcomings identified by the inspection team.

The defense leader stressed that the hospital must be more resolute in carrying out the Ministry of National Defense’s directives on administrative reform and digital transformation. Implementation should follow a clear road-map with specific goals, producing tangible and practical result that create breakthroughs in medical examination and treatment. He urged the hospital to build and train a high-quality information technology workforce and to launch an intensive “Digital Literacy for All” movement tailored to different groups to better utilize digital applications and tools.
The deputy defense minister also called on relevant agencies, units, and enterprises to focus on supporting Military Hospital 175 in effectively carrying out its digital transformation tasks; to adopt advanced scientific and technological updates for high-quality applications and products; and to develop concrete solutions toward building a smart hospital, thereby enhancing patient care and service quality.
