Over the past time, the province’s armed forces have effectively implemented military-defense work and strictly ensure combat readiness and training programs. Meanwhile, they have also mobilized forces to support people in quarantine areas, field hospitals for infectious diseases, and COVID-19 checkpoints.

Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien chairs the meeting.

Acknowledging the unit’s task performance, Lieutenant General Tien asked them to promote its pioneering role in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the unit should work with relevant units to control the pandemic while implementing COVID-19 testing. In addition, more troops should be sent to border areas, together with border guards, to curb the spread of the pandemic.

In the coming time, the Tien Giang provincial Military Command will continue bracing the situation to be ready in any circumstances while standing side by side with local people to soon expel the pandemic, helping bring life back to normal.
