PANO - The contest for commanders and political commissars of border posts and companies in the whole army wrapped up on November 20th at the Mieu Mon Training Centre in the presence of General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army cum Deputy Defence Minister.

During the three-day event, participating individuals and groups have well performed their tasks with high sense of responsibilities and absolute safety for troops and vehicles. After the contest, General Ty awarded the first prizes to Military Zone 3 and the commander-political commissar twins of Hoanh Mo Border Post of the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guards and Company 2 of Regiment 43 of Division 395.
Addressing the closing ceremony, the chief of General Staff highly praised the great efforts of both competitors and the organizers and urged the whole-army units to continue promoting advantages and surmounting shortcomings to improve training quality and meet the task requirements in the new context.
