Binh Thanh district holds reservist mobilization exercise

During the exercise

Present at the event were Deputy Political Chief of Military Region 7 Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of Ho Chi Minh City Command Senior Colonel Le Xuan The, leaders of Binh Thanh district, and representatives of the military commands of 21 districts and Thu Duc city in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the content of the exercise, following the decisions made by the chairman of the municipal People’s Committee and commander of the municipal command on mobilizing reservists for Engineering Brigade 25 of Military Region 7, the Military Command of Binh Thanh district ordered relevant agencies and units to shift the combat readiness posture to a higher level and mobilize reservists. It also deployed air defense forces and guards in key areas and tasked a team with receiving reservists at a gathering station.

During the exercise, reservist handover and reception were carried out in an orderly, prompt, safe, and timely manner. Safety of participating personnel and vehicles were ensured absolutely.

The exercise aimed to review the quality and capability of reservist mobilization and combat readiness of units. It helped improve the leadership and management capacity of local party committees, authorities, advisory ability of military agencies, and other related local departments. In addition, it helped assess the capability of organization and coordination of commanding officers in mobilizing and receiving reservists as well.
