The exercise was held under the theme “The Artillery Corps shifting combat readiness postures, maneuvering forces, preparing and conducting combat in the battlefield.”
Addressing the launching ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Phong required all units to prepare well for and conduct the exercise in line with the actual situation. They should collaborate smoothly to deal with unexpected issues and complete their assigned tasks, he added.
The 10-day exercise consists of two stages, namely the command and staff stage and the semi-field training and live-fire drill.
It aims to evaluate the command and staff capability of commanding officers at all levels in shifting combat readiness postures, preparing and conducting combat, collaborating with relevant forces in doing their missions, and more. The results of the exercise are expected to help the corps adjust its combat readiness plans in close line with assigned missions.
