The request was made by Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Military Central Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense, during a meeting with the corps on February 28.

Over the past time, the corps recorded remarkable achievements in training, combat readiness, regulation and discipline enforcement, as well as political and ideological education. Its units grasped and strictly implemented instructions of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense, as well as paid attention to improving troops’ material and spiritual life. In addition, they successfully organized contests and exercises to augment artillery troops’ professionalism, combat readiness capabilities and skills to effectively master weapons and military equipment.

Congratulating artillery units on their notable results, General Giang  asked the corps to build itself into a comprehensively strong force, well manage and effectively master weapons and military equipment, and take good care of troops.

The same day, General Giang visited the Artillery Officer Training School and inspected Artillery Brigade 45’s preparations for the coming training missions and their management of weapons and military equipment. He met and gave encouragement to recruits in the unit.
