In 2016, the General Department of Logistics gave timely suggestions to higher levels to comprehensively carry out technical activities in line with the army’s regulations to ensure technical service for equipment for combat readiness as well as routine and extra missions. Its affiliates focused on investing in, consolidating and improving the system of vehicles and machinery, workshops, depots, technical equipment and weapons, while fulfilling other assigned missions.
In 2017, the General Department of Logistics will guarantee technical service for weapons and other equipment to meet requirements in the new situation; maintain technical training under the motto “Basic, Practical, Sound”; strictly observe regularity and technical work regulations; build and apply a system of technical and material rates in making defense products; and produce defense products in line with the Ministry of National Defense’s regulations.
Meanwhile, the Navy this year promoted solidarity among its personnel and did its utmost to ensure technical service for routine and unscheduled missions.
Besides, the Technical Department of the Naval Service well performed its consultative role, facilitating the service in achieving and surpassing its set targets while ensuring absolute safety during implementing its missions.
Noticeably, the Naval Service ensured technical service for equipment and weapons for combat readiness, training, exercises, search and rescue missions at sea; gradually synchronized weapons and munitions; mastered technical equipment; carried out two State-level research projects; and applied 40 technical improvement initiatives to reality.
