Army Corps 4’s chemical protection work comprehensively checked
PANO - A mission from the Chemical Corps Command inspected the performance of the chemical protection work of Army Corps 4 in a comprehensive manner on October 21 and 22.

It was reported that over the years, the chemical sector of Army Corps 4 has well performed its staff and command role, led the chemical prevention force to conduct training sessions in line with task requirements, and close to real conditions and operation areas. The training results of the chemical sector have been high for many years now.
Together with training, the sector has also ensured technical services of its chemical equipment for training and combat readiness tasks. Notably, many chemical scenarios have been rehearsed in all-level tactical exercises. In addition, the corps’ affiliates have well managed and guaranteed safety of chemical engineering facilities and equipment.

During the two-day inspection, the mission checked the chemical agency’s advisory work, direction and implementation activities; and Army Corps 4’s affiliated agencies and units’ documents related to training, combat readiness, statistical records.
They also checked troops’ awareness of weapons of mass destruction; observed troops’ usage of personal protective equipment, recce equipment, disinfectants, performance of their expertise, analysis of toxic samples and AK rifle shooting lesson 2 while wearing MV5 gas masks, among others.

The mission also inspected the operation of the observation station at Chemical Battalion 38.
After the inspection, the mission highly praised the chemical sector’s duty performance and pointed out shortcomings to improve the implementation of the missions in the coming time.
