During the five-day event, more than 1,000 athletes from 15 sport delegations from the corps’ regiments, brigades, divisions, schools, and agencies will compete in 20 events of 11 sport games. These competitions include strong soldiers, obstacle running course, 3,000 meters armed obstacle running course, swimming, sniper, unarmed combat martial arts, volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, and tennis.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Van Huong, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of Army Corps 4 stressed the sport festival aims to review the training capabilities and quality, fitness practice and sport activities of the corps’ affiliates. With lessons drawn from the festival, the corps will adjust its training plans and methods to improve troops’ endurance, mobility and units’ combat strength to meet the task requirements of national construction and defense.
